Description:
An extended fanfare opens this setting of HYFRYDOL. With two texts—”Alleluia! Sing to Jesus!” and “Lord, You Give the Great Commission”—this festive and usable setting provides the elements for a grand entrance procession. As with many concertatos, a cappella choral stanzas and instrumental interludes are provided. If a full brass quartet is not available, the piece can be effective with only the two trumpets.
