Description:

This is a hymn for hard times, written during the global financial crisis of 2008. Like the biblical psalms of lament, the words move slowly but deliberately through struggle and despair toward praise. Two accompaniments are provided for this tune. The first is well-suited for a soloist singing the verses, with the assembly joining at “We will rejoice...” The second accompaniment provides more melodic support throughout.
