The setting by Michael Joncas is a stately and stirring presentation on an original tune in 5/4 for a text in praise of the Holy Trinity by Herman G. Stuempfle, Jr. When sung as a congregational hymn, it may be good to have a soloist introduce the tune on the first verse, keeping a steady tempo throughout. This will foster greater comfort for the assembly’s participation.
Brass Quartet and Timpani parts are optional.
