The inspiration from As I Pray came to Lorraine during adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. She felt compelled to offer listeners a recording with inspired words for personal prayer time. With this in mind, all lyrics are presented from a first-person perspective and incorporate many aspects of prayer: repentance, trust, surrender, petition, and praise.
