Description:

Often, the Pentecost Sequence is chanted by a cantor. This setting, inspired by the composer’s church choir and driven by the desire to enhance communal participation, was composed to be more engaging and accessible. This experience can be extended to the entire assembly by providing the text and tune in a format that everyone can easily learn and sing, thus fostering a deeper sense of unity and involvement. Depending on your situation, “Pentecost Sequence” can be sung SATB, either a cappella or accompanied by organ or piano.
