Description:

“O Lamb of God” is a set of six variations (partite) for organ and SATB choir, written for singers of modest abilities. Each organ variation is a free exposition based on the tune O LAMM GOTTES, UNSCHULDIG. The tune is sung by the choir, first in unison, then by the tenors and sopranos in a two-part harmonization (ST/AB), and finally in a four-part chorale-style setting.
