This through-composed "Gloria" is the only arrangement that has been in every hymnal published by GIA since 1970. It will be included in Worship—Fourth Edition, Gather—Third Edition, and Lead Me, Guide Me—Second Edition. It is currently sung by congregations from coast to coast and will continue to be sung (with the revised texts) for many years to come.
