Composer Carol Browning shares that this piece was inspired by a card designed by Anne Kertz Kernion. The refrain is a Quaker blessing and the verses came out of Scriptural texts that provide reassurance for God's care for his people. The flowing, syncopated rhythms serve to keep this piece moving forward while at the same time giving it the feeling of a mantra.
