Description:

This favorite Easter hymn, arranged in a concertato setting, features several vocal and instrumental textures, including a stanza that allows the assembly to confidently take the lead, while the choir enters on the Alleuia that answers the congregational phrases. The brass players have a brief fanfare at the start, then provide interjections throughout most of the piece; they return for the last stanza, building in grandeur to a flourish that adds to the triumphal nature of this selection. A perfect choice for Easter morning!
