Burton, Roberto L.

Roberto Burton served as the Minister of Music at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Harvest, AL and composer-in-residence at the Madison Mission SDA Church in Madison, AL as well as Band Director at Oakwood University, a staff organist at Oakwood University Church, and as a bass guitarist at Redstone Arsenal.

As a producer, musician & engineer he has worked with such artists like Wintley Phipps, Nolan Williams, Asaf Alexander Ward, Jimane Nelson, John Stoddart, David Gillard, Dr. Cedric Dent from Take 6, John Stoddart, Dr. Dorinda Clark Cole, Men of Standard, and a host of other rap and R&B and gospel artists. He managed Committed, a sextet based in Huntsville, AL.

As a composer, publisher & arranger, Burton created and orchestrated arrangements for the first-ever John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts “Joyful Sound” Gospel concert with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C. and many other churches with orchestral programs in their music ministry.
