Vientos y Tangos (“Winds and Tangos”) was commissioned by the Frank L. Battisti Seventieth Birthday Commission Project and is dedicated to Frank Battisti in recognition of his immense contributions to the advancement of concert wind literature.
Vientos y Tangos is a single-movement, free-form work that has elements of sonata form with a theme and variations section toward the end of the piece.
The work has a length of approximately eleven minutes and thirty seconds.
