A hip cut-time rock groove and solid horn writing combine to make this chart a real showstopper. The real heart of Street Beat though is in two bold group improvisation sections where everyone in the band has a chance to make their own note and rhythm choices. These passages are "well scripted" and the time remains constant throughout so that the band can play with confidence, but this chart really will be fresh and interesting every time you play it. Highly recommended!
