Perfect for either individual or ensemble instruction, these two-part exercises progress from easy to difficult using a variety of scales, including pentatonic, whole tone, major, minor, Mixolydian, Lydian, and blues.
At the beginning of each section, a short technical exercise introduces the notes and rhythms that appear in the more extended reading study that follows. Recommended stickings are provided for each technical exercise to help with specific challenges found in the reading studies.
This resource works equally well for bells, xylophone, vibraphone, or marimba, and can be used in conjunction with Scales for Keyboard Percussion by Randy Eyles and Basics in Rhythm by Garwood Whaley, both available through Meredith Music.
