This edition provides solo instrument accompaniments and descants for most of the hymns, psalms, songs, and service music in Gather, Third Edition. It offers the parish instrumentalist an opportunity to lend instrumental enhancement to the assembly song. The settings have been drawn from many sources including the original composer of the piece along with seven GIA editors who wrote parts especially for this collection. For further reference a bibliography is found at the end of this volume which lists additional separately published instrumental parts.
