Jean Langlais, a widely acclaimed performer and composer in his own right, served for 40 years as organist in the same chruch where Franck composed and performed his classic works. This recording, made in Franck's church using the same organ that Franck played, is regarded as one of the most authoritative performances of his music ever captured on tape. This historic recording has been re-mastered for release on compact disc.
