GIA Publications - Artist - Fernández, Santiago

Santiago Fernández has been active in parish music ministry for 40 years and is currently Music Minister at Church of the Holy Family in Novi, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Wayne State University in Detroit, is certified in both Pastoral Ministry and Liturgical Ministry (locally by the Archdiocese of Detroit and nationally by the USCCB) and is currently working toward a Master’s Degree in Theology with a concentration in Sacred Scripture. Santiago is a frequent speaker and workshop presenter in the area of Hispanic liturgical music at events and conferences around the country and abroad. A prolific composer, Santiago’s work is published through GIA as well as through Oregon Catholic Press (OCP). He is a contributor and member of the editorial committee for GIA’s new Spanish hymnal Tu Pueblo Canta.
