Dunphey, Rose
Rose Dunphey graduated with degrees in Music and Physical Education from the University of Oregon in 1988, and earned a Master of Music Education degree from the University of Oregon in 1994. Rose currently teaches in the Lewis-Palmer School District in Monument, Colorado. She has been writing band and choral arrangements for her own students since 1989, taking some of her manuscripts to festival competitions and having one piece premiered at the Colorado Music Educator’s Association Conference in 2009.
In addition to classroom teaching, Rose conducts the Tri-Lakes Music Association orchestra, large non-profit organization providing benefit concerts each year for local charitable causes. She is a private instructor and freelance musician on trombone, bassoon, jazz bass, and classical guitar.
Rose lives with her husband Scott and their two children in Monument, Colorado, where she enjoys mountain biking, taekwondo, ceramics, and wildflower photography.
