Rob Strusinski recently completed a thirty-three year career as Director of Music Ministry and founding conductor of the renowned Liturgical Choir at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. In his joint appointment as member of Campus Ministry and the Music Department he was program director and advisor for Liturgical Music studies, founder of the annual University Sacred Arts Festival and also taught private voice.

Rob’s extensive international profile includes a three-year appointment as visiting associate professor in international studies at Osaka Gakuin University in Osaka, Japan, and has taught and led service trips to South Africa, Uganda, and Venezuela. In addition, he has conducted the Liturgical Choir on nine international tours to Europe, the Middle East, and Ireland, as well as annual regional and national tours throughout the United States.

Rob has served the National Association of Pastoral Musicians for ten summers as coordinator and master teacher for the NPM Choir Director Institutes, and as a faculty member of the NPM Cantor Schools. He was also on the faculty of “Music Ministry Alive” at St. Catherine University from 1999-2009 as choral director and voice teacher.

Rob is widely respected as a workshop presenter, speaker. He is a former review editor and columnist for Pastoral Music and has had numerous articles published in Pastoral Music, GIA Quarterly, AIMS, and other publications. Rob served as music editor for Liturgical Press and consultant for the Collegeville Hymnal.

Rob is an active member of ACDA, NATS, AGO, and NPM.
