Payne, Parker
Parker Payne is Artist-in-Residence at Missouri State University, where he serves as collaborative pianist for the Choral Studies program. With MSU choirs, he has performed extensively across the United States and internationally in Argentina, Canada, Czechia, Chile, China, Denmark, France, Iceland, Norway, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, and Sweden. His performances include appearances at multiple National and Southwest ACDA conferences, the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference, IMC: The Tenor-Bass Choral Consortium National Conference, the China International Choral Festival, the Tolosa Choral Contest, and the Jeju International Choral Festival. He has also performed at numerous all-state and regional honor choirs, including the Arkansas All-State Choir, the South Carolina All-State Choir and the Missouri Choral Directors Association All-State Festival Choir. Parker has also performed at the 2024 Texas Choral Directors Association conference with the Tallgrass Chamber Choir.
As a recording artist, Parker is featured on five commercially released recordings with the MSU Chorale, including On My Way and Radiance Untethered: The Choral Music of John Wykoff. He also appears on commercially released albums with the Tallgrass Chamber Choir. As a session pianist, he has recorded works for choral publishers such as Hampton Road Music Group, Santa Barbara Publishing and Walton Music. He is also a voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) and serves as a music copy editor and is a published editor with Walton Music.
