Ziółkowski, Michał
Michał Ziółkowski (b.1991 in Zakopane)—composer, pianist, and arranger based in Wrocław (Poland). He has been passionate about music since the age of fifteen, when he discovered the magic of piano music. His first compositions were written during high school where his talent was first noticed. Michał graduated from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław where he studied composition under Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil. Since 2012 he has been working with choral master Małgorzata Podzielny, Rondo Vocal Ensemble, and Con Brio Children’s Choir writing choral and orchestral music. Many of these works have been performed in the National Forum of Music in Wrocław. In music he is mainly focused on subltle harmonies, clarity of form, and vivid instrumentation. He has been engaged in scientific and educational work as a teacher and lecturer. His Agnus Dei for a capella chorus was published by Schott Music and performed in Cambridge by The Choir of Trinity College with Stephen Layton conducting. He also has written theatrical music and film music.
