Bryant, Melvin E. Jr.
The versatility of Melvin E. Bryant, Jr. is without question as a musician, arranger, composer, and vocalist. His unique delivery gives his music a convincing style that is fresh and inspiring. Melvin's exceptional talent took root at the early age of 11 years old under the auspices of his first teacher, Helen Martin.
A graduate of Howard University where he earned the Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education, Melvin has recorded with such nationally renowned artists as The Gospel Music Workshop of America, Wintley Phipps, Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music and has performed with Richard Smallwood. Melvin has co-produced and performed on the CD Fullness of Joy as a member of the group JOY, James & Kathy Bowman and the Antioch Fire-Baptized Holiness Choir, and Eddie Cromwell & GRACE. Melvin is also a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo earning a Master of Arts Degree in Music History/Ethnomusicology.
Minister Bryant began his preaching ministry in February 1999 under the Pastorate of Rev. Leslie D. Braxton, while serving as Minister of Music at the First Shiloh Baptist Church of Buffalo, NY. Having numerous years of experience as a Minister of Music, Melvin also served as the Elder of Worship at the Church of the Great Commission, of Camp Springs, MD under the leadership of Pastor J. K. White.
AgapeLove is a diverse group of young people that was organized in 1998 by Minister Bryant. They released their first CD in 2003.
