Evanovich, Joshua A.
Joshua Evanovich is an Assistant Editor at GIA Publications. He is responsible for the engraving, proofreading, and layout of much of the music in the choral and instrumental catalog. He also handles the edition reprint and correction process, helps produce handbell demo recordings, and represents GIA at various Protestant conventions. Previously, Josh worked in the editorial department at Augsburg Fortress Publishers, contributing to the publication of the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal.
He graduated with a double major in music and business administration from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, receiving the 2007 outstanding music graduate award. As an active composer and arranger, Josh has written several hundred pieces for a variety of instrumentations, often performing them live in churches and concert venues around the Midwest. Live performances of his Christmas carol arrangements for choir and concert band have been broadcast on Public Television stations throughout the United States. In addition, his compositions frequently air throughout the world on Internet and radio stations through the Moody Broadcasting Network. As a performer, he plays the organ, piano, and trombone (but not all at the same time!), and also rings handbells.
