Eric M. Pazdziora is a composer, pianist, church musician, and author. He started piano lessons at age six, began composing at age eight, and was improvising piano arrangements for churches by age thirteen.

Eric is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, with a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition. His primary composition teacher was Dr. Edwin T. Childs. Orchestras, instrumental ensembles, choirs, and soloists have performed Eric’s music in a wide variety of venues. Eric is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in composition at UNC-Greensboro. He is a student of Alejandro Rutty and Mark Engebretson, and has participated in master classes with Liviu Marinescu, Sebastián Zubieta, Martin Gendelman, and Samuel Adler.

In 2004, Eric's orchestral work “Fanfare: Cum Laetitia Magna” was selected as a winner in the DuPage Symphony Orchestra “Fanfare for our Fiftieth” composition contest. Recent commissions have included choral works, instrumental pieces, art songs, film scores, chamber orchestra, and incidental music for drama. A newly released CD, "New Creation," includes many original settings of hymns and worship songs.

Eric and his wife Carrie have collaborated on many musical projects, including a folk / americana band, Thornfield (www.thornfieldmusic.com), which has released two albums. They live in North Carolina.
