Cooper-Nelson, Eli

Eli Cooper-Nelson holds a Master of Theological Studies in Liturgy from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (Evanston, IL). His graduate work focuses on ritual, habit, and the inclusion of infants in worshipping communities. He has worked on liturgical resources for trans and queer communities that celebrate, grieve, and commemorate life’s transitions. Eli facilitates workshops on embodied liturgy, expansive language, and supports congregations in crafting new liturgy for weekly use. Eli’s original hymn texts are published by GIA Publications, Inc. He is a social service provider, living and working in Chicagoland.
