Diane (Soczka) McAninch was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, and graduated from Viterbo University, La Crosse, Wisconsin, with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. She has performed with community theater, symphony choruses, the Diocesan choir of La Crosse diocese, and an auditioned women's choir, Wausau Pro Musica, which she has also directed for the past ten years. Diane is the director of sacred music at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild, Wisconsin, for the past 28 years. In that time she has begun and directed an adult SATB choir, a contemporary family choir, youth choir, and handbell choir. Recently, CDs have been recorded by the adult choir and a recorder quartet. Diane has published handbell, instrumental, and choral works with various publishers including G.I.A. Other commissioned works include music for a 100th year anniversary mass for a local church and a concert piece for junior high chorus on the works of John Muir. Diane lives with her husband, Michael, of 35 years. They have raised two sons and besides music, enjoy golf, fishing and R.V. trips, especially to national parks.
