Actively engaged in both choral and orchestral worlds, Daniel Gee currently serves as Director of Choral Activities at Westmont College, where he has taught conducting and composition, and Music Director of the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony. Gee has fulfilled several commissions for ensembles in the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles music communities, including the Santa Barbara Quire of Voyces, the Westmont Orchestra, and the Westridge School Chamber Orchestra. Gee earned his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music and is grateful to include Jo-Michael Scheibe, Cristian Grases, and Tram Sparks as his conducting mentors, and Sean Friar and Morten Lauridsen as his mentors in composition.
