Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, Carmen Scialla’s early musical training included studies in piano, organ, and music theory. As a Magna Cum Laude graduate, Dr. Scialla received his Bachelor of Music from the State University of New York at Fredonia, his Master of Music from The Eastman School of Music, and his Doctorate from Louisiana State University.
Dr. Scialla has enjoyed a multi-faceted musical career which has included frequent piano performances in major concert halls throughout Europe, China, and the United States, appearing in solo recitals, chamber music concerts, and as featured piano soloist with orchestra.
Previous appointments include Professor of Piano and Director of Choral Studies at Kean University of New Jersey, Director of Keyboard Studies at California University of Pennsylvania, and Professor of Piano at Arkansas State University.
