Lawson, Bronwyn
Bronwyn Lawson began singing as a tiny dot on her mother’s knee and hasn’t stopped since. An experienced and passionate early childhood music educator based in Geelong, Australia, she completed an honors degree in music therapy at the University of Melbourne and a postgraduate Bachelor of Education at Deakin University before developing a particular interest in teaching the very young.
This passion for the tiniest of musicians led her to the work of Dr. John M. Feierabend, under whom she studied at Silver Lake College in Wisconsin. She later became the first Australian teacher trainer for the Feierabend Association for Music Education and continues to support early childhood teachers through First Steps in Music certification courses and mentoring.
Bronwyn works tirelessly with vulnerable communities through Bluebird Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on bringing the joy of music to young families through parent-child classes. She is a regular contributor to little bluebirds, an online collection of creative ideas for young families, and she firmly believes that parents are their child(ren)’s first and most important teacher.
