Greene, Betsy

Betsy Greene is an elementary music educator with over forty years of experience in Burlington, Vermont. A graduate of the Crane School of Music and the Hartt School of Music (MME), she is both Kodály and Orff-Schulwerk certified (Hartt School of Music and University of St. Thomas, respectively). Betsy received the Music Educator of the Year Award in 2008 from the Vermont Music Educators Association. She is a founding member and past president of the Feierabend Association for Music Education (FAME) as well as a FAME-endorsed Teacher Trainer for First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege. She also teaches workshops and FAME-endorsed elective courses integrating the Feierabend approach with Orff Schulwerk. Betsy is a co-author of First Steps in Music with Orff Schulwerk, Conversational Solfege with Orff Schulwerk, and a contributing author to Feierabend Fundamentals.
