Edenroth, Anders
Anders Edenroth (b.1963) was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He started playing piano and singing in choirs at an early age. From age ten to twenty he studied at Adolf Fredrik’s School of Music in Stockholm, which has a strong focus on choral singing. He continued his studies at The Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm for five years where he and his fellow students formed the a-cappella quintet – The Real Group. The last two years, his studies were completed together with the other Real Group members on a specially designed post-graduate course, resulting in a diploma of the highest degree.
Edenroth has written many original songs for The Real Group as well as arrangements of well known standards. He has been awarded grants from The Swedish National Council for Cultural Affairs and Swedish Performing Rights Society STIM several times.
He has also worked as a jazz and pop keyboardist and as a writer of television scores and music for commercials. Over the years, he has engineered and produced albums for other artists as well as arranged music for vocal groups, big bands, symphonic orchestras, and stage shows.
Since 1989, he has been a full time singer, performing with The Real Group in more then 40 countries and has recorded 17 albums, many of which he also produced.
