Seaton, Alison

Alison Seaton began teaching at Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in 1997 and fell in love with the art of choral singing. Her choirs perform widely in the Seattle area and have traveled and performed nationally and internationally. Ms. Seaton has conducted a wide range of repertoire from early music to modern music, and her choir’s performances reflect a commitment to diverse repertoire and experiences founded upon traditional choral principles. She has collaborated with many of the choral community’s most respected composers and conductors, including Alice Parker, Henry Leck, Francisco Núñez, and Jim Papoulis. Particularly important to Ms. Seaton’s artistic development were her studies with Alice Parker from 2008 to 2023. Since 2003, she has been the chairperson of the Seattle Archdiocese Catholic High School Choir Festival, which is a non-competitive festival serving 450 youth that emphasizes community building through singing.
