Founded in 1941, GIA Publications, Inc. is a family-owned company with more than 10,000 choral and instrumental editions in print, as well as hymnals, recordings, a licensing division, and a wide variety of music education resources. In 1941, GIA Publications offered its first music education resource as the Gregorian Institute of America, putting forth a 110-lesson home-study course in Gregorian chant. Though our focus has changed, our commitment to music education has grown exponentially.

Today, GIA is proud to be a preeminent publisher of music education resources including the work of James O. Froseth, Edwin E. Gordon, John Feierabend, Alice Parker, James Jordan, Barbara Conable, Christopher Azzara, and many other renowned music educators.
