Jones, Nathan
Nathan Jones is a recent graduate of Westminster Choir College of Rider University. He graduated with a Master of Music degree in Theory and Composition. At Westminster, he sang in both the Symphonic Choir and Westminster Choir. During his undergraduate degree program at Oklahoma State University, Nathan participated in several ensembles including the Chamber Choir, Concert Chorale, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Ensembles. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree concentrating in instrumental education with an emphasis in percussion and piano in 2007. Nathan has had several works performed throughout the United States and in South Korea. "Beneath This Dome" was premiered by the Westminster Choir College Schola Cantorum in April 2009. His other works have been sung by several other collegiate choral groups including Westminster Choir with Dr. Joe Miller, University of North Texas A Cappella Choir with Dr. Jerry McCoy, and the Oklahoma State University Concert Chorale with Dr. Dirk Garner. The most recent performance of his music occurred in July 2009, during the World Choir Championships in Gyeongnam, South Korea by the University of Louisville Cardinal Singers conducted by Dr. Kent Hatteberg.
Nathan and his wife Rebecca enjoy cooking together, hiking and fishing in their spare time. He is a native of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
