Players can use these books throughout the entire process of preparing for an audition, including at the audition itself. Each volume contains a collection of common audition excerpts in three versions:
- The Original Part as it appears in the actual score with original markings
 - An Annotated Part that includes instructions written into the part to aid preparation
 - An Audition Part with sparse annotations
 
All instructions and annotations are made in blue ink for ease of reading, and each volume is spiral-bound so it lies flat on a desk or music stand.
