A four-time Grammy Award winner (with eleven nominations), DONALD NALLY is an internationally renowned conductor specializing in professional choirs and contemporary music. An Emeritus Professor at Northwestern University, his work includes decades of opera (Welsh National Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Spoleto Festival in Italy); collaborations with major orchestras (Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia), venues (Carnegie Hall, Park Avenue Armory, Disney Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center), and museums (London, Porto, Cordoba, Cleveland, Osaka); theatre works (Haarlem in the Netherlands, Stockholm, Helsinki, London); and residencies at universities (Yale, Harvard, Dartmouth, Peabody Institute, Indiana University, University of Illinois, University of Chicago). He conducts The Crossing, Musical America’s 2024 Ensemble of the Year, hailed by The New York Times as “America’s most astonishing choir.”
