Description:
This is a four-movement masterwork written by Antonio Vivaldi around 1735 for SATB double choir. An ordained priest, Vivaldi was known for calling on God ("Domine, Domine...") in all aspects of his life. This is reflected in the opening movement with the repetition of the word throughout. This is a brilliant, fanfare-like work that deserves to be programmed.
