Wiseman, Alan
Alan Wiseman is a Toronto based composer and church musician. He studied music at the University of Western Ontario (B Mus A) and theology at Tyndale University (MTS). He has worked as a worship pastor in three Baptist Churches, a Presbyterian Church, and a Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Recently. taking a break from full time church work, Alan went back to school to study composition with Eric Robertson and graduated from Emmanuel College (University of Toronto) with a Master of Sacred Music degree. For Alan, composition is the holy task of worship leading, using melody, rhythm, and harmony to draw people's voices into unity, move their emotions to song, inspire their spiritual lives to growth, and their communal lives to fellowship. Alan has a wife, Karen, who is a music librarian at University of Toronto, 3 children and two grandchildren.
